The toponym Larun dates back to ancient times. Its proximity to the sea, valuable architectural heritage, century-old olive trees, and gentle slopes create an ideal setting for the development of the prestigious Larun Golf & Yacht Resort project. The Larun Golf & Yacht Resort covers an area of approximately 112 hectares and is planned to include the construction of an 18-hole golf course and 1,200 beds across a luxury hotel, tourist apartments, and high-end villas. The complex will be located in close proximity to existing and planned tourist facilities in the Santa Marina and Lanterna areas, contributing significantly to the economic development of the wider area.
The golf course will feature two driving ranges, a clubhouse, and a golf academy, along with commercial and service facilities of the highest quality. The project emphasizes sustainable and environmentally responsible maintenance suited to this exceptional landscape. The Urban Development Plan has been adopted, the Environmental Impact Study approved, and the Location Permit issued. A Building Permit for the access road — a prerequisite for obtaining all remaining construction permits — has also been granted.
On 01/08/2025, an amendment to the Building Permit was issued by the relevant Ministry, and the start of construction was officially reported as of 11/08/2025.
Subsequently, on 26/08/2025, the Ministry of Physical Planning, Construction and State Property issued the Confirmation of the commencement of construction.
