According to J. Kondracki’s physical-geographical division [1994], the area of the RYCHLINEK building ceramics site belongs to the Jelenia Góra region.
The site is located in Okraglica, 500 m east of the RYCHLINEK ceramics factory. It belongs to the municipality of Węgliniec, Jelenia Góra Voivodeship. The site is located approximately 2,5 km from the Ruszów – Żagań road. It is about 1 km from the Okraglica railway station.
The hills form a chain with heights reaching 1800 m above sea level. Towards the north, the area descends to 1350 m above sea level and towards the south to an altitude of 1550 m above sea level. The range of hills is bounded from the west by the river Nysa Łużycka and from the east by the river Mała Czarna. Rivers have a meridional course and flow from south to north. The unused part of the reservoir is forested.
